Why is Freedom, also called Sovereignty, Important?

I would love to know why you think freedom is worth fighting for, what the value is.

To me freedom is the natural character and state of our being, our Soul is free and self-determining, in a word our Self is - Sovereign. When our experience in the projected worlds of physicality, legal systems, even Digital communities is not also free it means we are not in harmony/aligned with our natural state, our Self.

It is very simple to me, I wish to live in harmony with nature and my own Self, both are free; and therefore so must I be if harmony is to be attained.

People can feel at Peace when they are free, and I think FDU_Soule that you have suggested a very practical reason as to why; it is our natural state under all the stress of living and projections of mind that cause fear, which is the opposite of being at peace. Do you find this valuable?
